Two mighty oceans, the Atlantic and the Indian, meet at the Cape and the resultant differences in sea temperature promote a huge diversity of marine-life. Just minutes outside the city of Cape Town, you will be 'flying' through forests of kelp, rising twelve metres to the surface and providing a protective mantle for many species of fish, and exploring abundant reef walls and caves - home to species such as corals, sea anemones, sponges, sea fans and nudibranches.

And this is the home of the Great White Shark, where you can encounter (hopefully!), this majestic predator, through a cage of course! Getting into the cage with the sharks around, is truly the most breath-taking experience you will ever live to remember. When feeding actively around the boat, the sharks may occasionally brush their tail against the cage, but never attack the cage. They are very curious though and often come close-up to the cage, taking a closer look at the diver. A personal, eye-to-eye encounter with this awesome animal is guaranteed to get the adrenaline going! Although tours run all year round, the best time of the year is April through September when the sharks are particularly active in their feeding patterns.
