Places: Agra | Activities: See the Taj Mahal at sunset, sunrise, and full moon nights; explore the Agra Fort; see the ghost capital city of Emperor Akbar
Here in India on a short business trip, and have a spare day for leisure? Then use the time to see India’s most loved and recognized icon – the Taj Mahal in Agra. Fly to Delhi where your car will zip you across straight from the airport to Agra in a few hours. Take in the Taj at sunset (or if well planned, then on a full-moon night), sleep it off at one of Agra’s many hotels, and then back to see the magnificent monument at sunrise. If you have time to spare, then take in the Agra Fort and Emperor Akbar’s famous ancient capital – Fatehpur Sikri. Depart Agra after an early lunch and arrive at Delhi Airport in time for your flight back to Chennai or Bangalore.
Fly into Delhi by the first flight of the day. On arrival, you are met by car & driver and transferred to Agra by road (4-5hrs). After lunch, visit the Agra Fort, built by successive Mughal Emperors, the Itmad-ud-Daulah and finally an unforgettable sunset visit to the Taj Mahal, the white marble blushing as the last rays of sunlight caress this monument to love.
A romantic farewell visit to the Taj Mahal at sunrise. After breakfast, depart Agra for New Delhi Airport, carrying with you a packed lunch from your hotel. Enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri, the deserted capital city of the great Mughal Emperor Akbar. Arrive into New Delhi Airport in the afternoon. Take an evening flight back home in Chennai or Bangalore.
