Beauty and the beast! That’s what we like to call this romantic long break. And before the man in you gets all indignant, what we are actually referring to are two of South Africa’s most visited icons – the beauty of Cape Town and the majestic beasts of Kruger National Park!
There is no better place to start your romantic vacation than the ultimate luxury safari experience at Kruger. Choose from one of the many private concession lodges or private reserves. Go on jeep safaris and get close-up (to each other too) with big cats. Enjoy a private dinner on your veranda while you watch game go past you. And get naughty (very naughty!) in your private plunge pool, with no one peeking (except the birds and the bees!).
And just when things start to get too wild for you, take off for than in the fairest Cape of them all – Cape Town. It’s the kind of city that makes you romantically impulsive and generously spontaneous to your companion. To begin with, the backdrop to your romantic vacation could not get any better – beautiful Table Mountain on one side and the azure Atlantic Ocean on the other. The stunning Victoria & Alfred Waterfront makes for romantic walks and the candle-lit restaurants of Camps Bay beckon you with intimate dinners for two. You can lower your guard by getting in a little wine between your lips at one of many small vineyards in the Cape Peninsula. And pamper yourselves with a couples-spa treatment at the One & Only Cape Town Hotel.

Enjoy big-game safaris.
In the afternoon, transfer to the airport and fly to Cape Town.
On arrival in Cape Town, you are transferred to your hotel. In the evening, visit the chic Victoria & Alfred Waterfront to take in the romantic atmosphere of the city. Have an early dinner at a restaurant or back at your hotel.
In the morning, go up Table Mountain when the crowds are less and the air is clear and crisp. Take the cable car to the summit of South Africa’s most recognized icon for the most spectacular views of Cape Town.
In the afternoon, visit Robben Island. Declared a Cultural World Heritage Site, Robben Island is where former president Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for more than two decades. Catch the hourly ferry from the V&A Waterfront. On your return, get in some shopping at the V&A Waterfront, with loads of restaurants, bars and shops housed in restored warehouses.
In the evening, drive to the hip celebrity residential areas of Camps Bay or Clifton and chill-out at one of many lounge bars, finishing off with a meal at one of the many seaside restaurants.
In the morning, drive out to Franschoek, which has to be in our opinion, the prettiest village in the Cape Winelands. Tucked away into a deep valley surrounded by the mountains, this former 17th century settlement of French refugees is refreshingly compact, with its shops and restaurants located all along the main street. Thanks to the French influence, some of the country’s best vineyards are also in and around the town.
Spend the day visiting some of the award-winning vineyards, tasting wine and cheeses. Many of the vineyards have excellent restaurants, and Franschoek can claim to be the gourmet capital of South Africa. In the evening, treat yourself to a special romantic dinner at a fine dining restaurant.
Spend the day shopping and relaxing in Cape Town. Maybe venture out to a day spa for some last minute indulgent pampering.
Transfer to the airport and fly to Dubai. Take your connecting flight from Dubai to India.
