passport holders.
The Malaysian Government has decided to stop issuing transit visa facility to all Bangladesh , Indian, Pakistan and Sri Lankan passport holders. The decision applies to all immigration checkpoints at five Malaysia international airports namely KL International Airport (KLIA), Bayan Lepas International Airport , Sultan Ismail (Senai) International Airport , Kota Kinabalu International Airport and Kuching International Airport .
In parallel to the new instruction, passport holders from Bangladesh , India , Pakistan and Sri Lanka are not permitted to land (NTL) at the above mentioned international airports without visa effective from 1st December 2009.
However, as an exception to the general rule, passport holders from the above mentioned countries who are holding PR status, social visit pass (spouse) or work permit from the third country are eligible for transit visa provided that the burden of proof lies upon them to verify to the immigration officers that they fall under one of those categories.
